  • Multiple Cards/Monitors NVidia Control Panel: Max 3D or Disable Multi-GPU?

    1) I have multiple GPUs/cards.
    2) Three monitors.
    3) NVidia Control Panel

In the control panel, it offers up under "Configure Multi-GPU, Surround, Phsyx"
    1) Maximize 3D Performance
    2) Disable Multi-GPU Mode
    3) Additionally PhysX Settings

I noted that Maximize 3D performance drives up idle temps.
Disable Multi-GPU mode seems to handle the system better.
I'm not sure if PhysX Settings impacts 3dsmax/VRay/VRay RT (and other apps) performance aside from gaming. I suppose if you're running heavy PhysX with 3dsmax then it comes in handy. Could be wrong. For now I've left it Autoselect.

    What are your recommendations?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Disable Multi-GPU Mode option should perform best for V-Ray RT GUP mode. If all graphic cards in your system are set in SLI mode, this option will causes all GPUs to run independently, which is recommended by us.

About the last option "Additionally PhysX Settings" I don't think that they will have any impact over the V-Ray calculations.
