  • 2 x XEON E5-2670v2 10 CORE - dependable render machine?

    Anyone using this kind of system for rendering? There would be 20x physical cores (40 HT cores). Would this work well with distributed rendering (along with another set of i7-based machines)? Any compatibility issues with so many cores in one machine?

    I have the E5-2695V2 which are 12 cores (48 HT cores) and no problems so far. edit: didn't use it with DR yet but don't think this should pose problems.

        Sitting on two Workstations each with 2 x XEON E5-2680v2 here. Works great with DR and BB.
