Type "cpu + cinebench" and you will see the score results for 3D rendering.
It will be easily to compare

Fresh reboot gives me this result. So 200% faster more or less. Mind telling me what the dummy objects are for? (with vraydisplacement?)



Btw I think you have a nightly 3.0 installed, so hopefully that doesn't influence the outcome. I don't have access to them.

edit: I can see there's a tiny brightness difference also. Could be due to my gamma settings 2.2 in and 2.2 out.

It does, unfortunately - the nightlies are generally a bit faster. You have to compare the same builds.

great thank you! this is exactly what I was hoping for. But its a bit disappointing, that its only 200% faster. Its simply because it has twice the cores. I was hoping that core per core its also faster.

Well I don't know what clock speed you are comparing it to, but mine has "only" 2.4 Ghz (3.2 Ghz Turbospeed). http://ark.intel.com/products/75281/...Cache-2_40-GHz

The issue is that the e5 2695 is just so damn expensive! That is why.

cool. I know that overclocked i7 can match dual xeon 5650 pretty close! Too bad they cant put two i7 on one board
