Dual xeons look great, but man that 5960x OC is a monster as well!
You could get two of those 5960x for the price of one xeon node, definitely worth it.

This is the age-old issue with i7 v dual xeon. You get more power overall with 2 x i7 machines for the same price as the dual xeon system, but you lose a lot of render speed using DBR and you have 2 x the hardware to maintain/upgrade and extra license fees for software etc., so on a single frame you're always going to get faster results from a dual xeon (high end) system, and you'll be spending less on licensing. If you are more concerned about value for money and network rendering then the i7s are probably the way to go. Xeons don't really represent great value for money - they're all about maximum power in a single system, and are the way to go if you need this.

Hey Mark, it is a massive powerhouse.
It hurt to buy it but in the long run it will very quickly pay for itself.
I will probably get another one in a month or so
