  • Will multiple GPU's give you more vram

When using vray RT will having multiple GPU's give you more vram in RT.
If you had 2 cards with 4 GB, would RT be able to use the 8 GB?

No, the memory is not added. The scene must fit in each GPU separately.

    Best regards,

Are there any plans on updating this, while the Titan X increases Vram slightly our models are not rendering at all in Vray RT in the sketchup version. We have not migrated fully to max but our files tend to be over 100 gigs with proxies, see here http://www.ecohaus.us/

There are other engines that manage Vram differently on the GPU and are not bottleneck, is there any chance that Vray will do do this as well? I think it will be several years before a gpu has enough ram to help us with our current modeling style and workflow. Also, what is the best way to calculate our current model size limits in order to avoid issues. Is it simply file size or are there other ways of calculating if your model will work on RT. Currently we are upgrading to the Titan X.

It would be best if you can get us a scene to test. 12 GB of VRAM are enough for a lot of geometry.
