Memory slot question

I just ordered an Asus Z10pe-d8 motherboard with dual 2680 v3 xeons and 64gb of DDR4 EEC ram (4x16gb).

Am I taking a significant hit if I only use 4 memory slots rather than all 8?

hmm no, just make sure each cpu has two dimms, esentially on dual boards there is always a primary unit and a secondary one, ideally both should have equal amount of ram. But i did have a case that somehow one cpu had no ram but still worked fine...
