ive got quite a special cooling system here, been running it a couple of months now with no issues. i was going to start a thread about it but didnt have time yet.

ive got a single (big!) external custom radiator box with 2 massive radiators in it, 6 180mm fans, and a pair of powerful quiet pumps (2 for redundancy)

these are connected to my 2 workstations via a 4m umbilical consisting of 2 tubes (out and return) and a power cable that connects to the psu of the main workstation.

its almost inaudible, and cools my 2 3930k cpus at 4.6 ghz. my temps average 48 degrees when rendering, peaking at 50-51 after going all night. bear in mind ambient temps here are 27 degrees c today. i expect lower temps in winter.

its got the capacity to cool up to 2kw with the same low noise, possibly up to 4kw with some more intrusive fan speeds. so i could add a pile of extra cpus if i wanted.

im planning to add a few titan x'es to the loop and i should keep the nice silence.

it cost a fair amount to build but a) i love projects like this b) the noise of my corsair h80 coolers was driving me nuts and c) ill hopefully never need another cooler.

bear in mind thats with 2 identical systems running on the same cooling loop.

when you see the size of the thing (its bigger than my pc) youll see why the temps should be low.
