  • Vray RT

    Guys,

My computer has twqo graphics cards installed on motherboard.

    Main card is a K4000

I also have a Gainward GTX 680 that I would like to use for GPU rendering with Vray. Problem is the card is not seen by system or vray. Is this just a matter of drivers?

V-Ray has no problems with such set-ups, so it is something on the machine.

What GPUs are seen by ocldeviceselect.exe ? Do you have V-Ray running as a service ?

This is a tool that comes with eve V-Ray installation and let's you choose which GPUs V-Ray should use for rendering. If you can see the GPU there than e OS recognize it.
If you have V-Ray as a service this might cause issues, since not every nVidia GPU can be used that way (depends on the driver and he GPU). Can you try to run it as a regular process and to check what does ocldeviceselect reports ?
        Thanks.

          Hi,

So this is the "Choose OpenCL devises" panel you can open from the start menu?

I have done this and it's not seen there either. I might have confused the situation when I said Vray is running as a service. What I meant was that I have it running normally on my system. I confused it with the license server when you asked me about that earlier.

The tool shows exactly what the OS sees, so there is something with the setup. You can try by reinstalling drivers, I guess.
