  • V-Ray 3.30 - all devices gone!

Well, since upgrading to 3.30 (official and latest nightly), all my GPUs are gone, no more RT GPU magic. No clue what happened, the ocldeviceselect shows all of them, but in the new rollout in the render dialog, there'S nothing. Driver is 350.12, was working like charm before. Deleting the environment variable didn't help. And of course i reinstalled, rebooted...

    Any ideas?

As far as I know, this is a 3ds max issue (Iray shouldn't see CUDA devices also in your case). The workaround is to use the old out of process RT rendering (that uses the ocldevices list).
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

Got it working now with the external vray.exe and new drivers. Thanks for the hint!
Is there any information, why this is the case with 3ds max? As you said, Iray doesn't work either (not that i would care).

The only thing that I can think of: if you go to the nVidia control panel, in the "Manage 3D settings" section, in the "Program Settings" tab, check if you have an entry for 3ds Max and whether the "CUDA- GPUs" option is set to "Use global settings (All)".
