Not with a 36-Dual core machine. The Titan is about the equivalent of a 16 core machine in terms of speed. your 36 core machine much will be faster.

The view-port should perform better. I need a second monitor, so I'll eventually be getting a second 4k.

I do remember dropping 2 grand for a G5000 (I think that's what it was) and it stunk. It was probably the worst investment I made, however, the Titan X gets great reviews. If you guys don't think it'll benefit me, I'll cancel the order.

I would try it out Amazon has a great return policy. I've always been led to believe that Quadros, even lower end ones are better for viewport than high end GTX's.

Bobby one think to keep in mind is that the GTX's wont do 10-bit color. I remember you have one of those new 4k Samsung monitors. If I ever upgrade to 4k I'm probably gonna get a Quadro to take advantage of the 10-bit color those new monitors have.

the Quarto 5000 wasn't very good. I'll try it and see. My son wants my current machine with the GTX 960, so I have to get something for my new machine.

Ended up getting the 980 TI, which seems to be a good middle ground. Both 36 core monster and card will arrive Tuesday.
