DR Render IP settings?

I'm helping a client get set up with their nodes. Currently, they are using BB and DHCP. I'm trying to help them understand the benefits of using DR in their workflow. One of the questions that came up is that the nodes that they are using are all set to DHCP. Can BB/DR work with that, or do all of the nodes need to be static? For my setup, I have 5 nodes, all of which are static IP's.
