    Hey,

Just testing two 1080 in RT and it works very well, if you are gonna use Active shade you better buy one less expensive dedicated viewport card like 970 or even 1070.

There is no need for SLI setup for vray, actually it works faster if you avoid SLI, if you do not use bridge it will be disabled by default.

I think in reality activeshade is the best I can hope for as many of my scenes are exterior shots with lots of vegetation. Still, if I get two 1080s and a 970 I would like to see some benefit from the 1080s besides activeshade. I also run a fair amount of Premiere Pro so hopefully it can take advantage of the cuda cores. Same with Unreal I would hope.

To further add to the confusion here, spoke to a colleague who says a new Titan X80 with 16GB is imminent?? Is this true? I googled around and although a card like this is mentioned here and there it doesn't seem to be from any reliable sources. It is supposed to have twice the number of cores so perhaps it is similar to the Titan Z, i.e. really a dual Titan with 8GB.
