  • Would two K4200s (triple monitor) perform better than a single M6000 (dual monitor) ?

I've recently built a couple of new Dual Xeon's (E5-2696v3) but am surprised at the poor performance I'm getting from the M6000 (Quadro 12Gb cards).

I have two K4200 Quadros (each 4Gb cards) in my i7 5960x home machine and am finding that for exactly the same 3DS Max scenes (taken to and from my workplace and using exactly the same versions of Max and V-Ray), that my 'cheap' K4200's give MUCH better Viewport performance than the M6000 which is pretty much the flagship Quadro NVidia card made and cost around 5 times their amount.

    Any ideas ?

Latest drivers, BIOSs same OS's etc etc.......

    Many thanks.
    Jez

Is each of you K4200's on a separate monitor? It looks like you can run 3 monitors on a K4200.
