  • GPU Problems?

Hey, guys. I was wondering if someone could tell me if this means one of my GPUs isn't working. I know I haven't been able to output video from one of them, but I don't know for how long.

I know this isn't really a VRay issue, I just thought I would ask if that's what this means.

    Thank you.

    Sorry for the late reply.

It seems that V-Ray successfully has found two Titan X Maxwell GPUs and will use them for rendering. Is that what you have expected ?

Hey, thank you for the reply, Blago.

Like I said, I'm getting video out on one and I wasn't sure what the yellow text meant, so I apologise for wasting time. I'm very interested in learning all I can about everything that comes through the console window. Is there a rundown available I can read? If it's in the Docs, I guess I just haven't found it yet.

      Again, thank you so much.

        No worries at all.
We store the devices that a user has chosen for GPU rendering in environment variable. When the render devices has not been configured there is no such variable and we use all devices by default.
This really should not be a warning, but a simple message. I will make a note to fix it .

Cool. Thank you very much, Blago.

If possible, I would still be interested in anything that could give me any info on what runs through the console. I saw something in there that said something about Fast GI, but there's not really anything out there I can find about it.

Anyway, thank you again for what you do.

I don't think we have anything for Fast GI in it, but maybe it is something that I am missing.
Generally the idea of the console log is to have the minimum amount of information a developer might need when something goes wrong. The warning messages of course are for users as well (we will change that warning that you noted to be a normal message).
