  • Adding cards for 3ds max Active Shade RT DR?

Is it worth adding cards to network render nodes to help add speed here? Or does the scene need to be saved per card/machine, at every setting change, and the time delay in transferring over the network make it not work very well, in which case the best way to increase render speed it to build a WS with a MB for multiple cards? It would be easier for me to add to the network nodes. I'm guessing once the scene does get loaded to the nodes, the speed would kick in. Is this how it works?

I can't recall if I asked this question before, I tried to search but came up null.

    Hello,

When doing RT DR the whole scene is sent only once at the start of the render. Then when you do changes - only the changed data is sent over the network. Also - the scene and changes are sent per machine - even if there are more than one card in the machine.

One other thing to have in mind - separate machines require render node licenses.

    Best regards,
