  • NVIDIA drivers 380+ warning

    NVIDIA drivers 380+ seem to cause troubles when used with V-Ray GPU. If possible, stick with 37X until that is solved. Thanks!

    If anybody needs to download earlier NVidia Drivers - this link might help (it did for me );

      Although we have workaround almost every issue that we have found for the upcoming 3.6 release and 380+ drivers will work mostly fine, driver 376 will be recommended.

        Is it still the recommended driver (376)? I have 385 now so maybe that could explain why RT is always crashing 3ds max. (it crashes like 30 times more often than ADV).

          You can always share a scene and reproduce steps so we can check where is the problem.

            Is there a consensus on drivers now? Getting a 1080 Ti on Friday, don't want to jump to 380+ if they're still not safe...

            Thanks!

              I've been using 387.92 on a TITAN X for some time now and they seem stable. Maybe the storm has passed, but you never know

                It seems like 386+ drivers are fine. Latest V-Ray GPU versions have some workarounds in them for few known issues, just in case.

                I will remove the topic from the sticked ones.
