Maya 2017 U4 & Vray for Maya 3.6 stable nightly 27496
NVIDIA GP100 (enabled) + Quadro M6000 (not enabled)
So I'm still pretty new to GPU rendering in Vray for Maya. I have a large complex scene that I rendering at 6Kx6K with the following render settings:
Image Format: exr (multichannel)
Production engine: CUDA
GPU Resize Testures: Full size textures
GPU Tex Format: 8-bit
AA Filter type: Lanczos
Size: 2.0
Max Sbdivs: 100
Noise threshold: 0.010
Max. render time (min): 0.0
Ray bundle size: 128
GI: On
Primary: Brute force
Secondary: Light Cache
So I 'm noticing that my render is going great and gets to 99% completion in about 2 hrs, but then stays at 99% for hours. I let it go and it completed to 100% 4 hours later!
Why would that last 1% take so much longer to complete?
The Maya output window shows this:
[2017/Jun/30|15:14:30] V-Ray: (Estimated time remaining: 0h 0m 0.0s): 100 % completed
[2017/Jun/30|15:14:49] V-Ray: Number of rays per pixel changed to 339, total number of samples is 40002.
[2017/Jun/30|15:14:49] V-Ray: (Estimated time remaining: 0h 2m 1.8s): 99 % completed
[2017/Jun/30|15:15:08] V-Ray: Number of rays per pixel changed to 512, total number of samples is 29696.
[2017/Jun/30|15:19:51] V-Ray: Number of rays per pixel changed to 500, total number of samples is 40000.
[2017/Jun/30|15:20:07] V-Ray: Number of rays per pixel changed to 512, total number of samples is 38400.
[2017/Jun/30|15:39:22] V-Ray: Number of rays per pixel changed to 267, total number of samples is 40050.
[2017/Jun/30|15:39:41] V-Ray: Number of rays per pixel changed to 512, total number of samples is 30208.
[2017/Jun/30|15:48:48] V-Ray: (Estimated time remaining: 0h 0m 0.0s): 100 % completed
[2017/Jun/30|15:49:04] V-Ray: (Estimated time remaining: 0h 2m 22.6s): 99 % completed
Still hangs at 99%....
Thank you so much for you help!
