Mixing GPUS? 1080ti with 2x 980?

Hi, I currently use 2 980s and would like to upgrade to a 1080ti. Can I still use the other 2 980s in my build to help with GPU render?

Is that possible without causing problems? Using Windows 7

It should work fine. I have a Titan X and a 980 in my workstation and they run fine together.

Thanks for the reply Vlado. That is great news. If you don't mind, another question on this:

Safe to assume that you are using the Titan X for the rendering, and 980 for viewport right? If that's the case, does it matter which GPU the monitors are plugged into?

Isnt one limit that the max scene ram is equel to the smallest ram size of a card? So if the 980 has 8gb and the 1080ti has 11gb you are limited to 8gb.
