  • GPU rendering and Geforce 1080 ti card problem

Does Vray 3.6 GPU rendering work with a geforce 1080 ti card? I've never had a card that supports this so I'm trying it for the first time but when I select CUDA cores and try to render it says no CUDA 2 device found.

Just tried Vray 3.6.04, switched to RT and rendered with the 1080ti... picks it up just fine :S

Yeah I rebooted machine today and tried it and it's now working ok, don't know what the problem was. Not as quick as I was expecting using hybrid though, from my old machine (core i7 860) to my new threadripper one the render time on CPU alone dropped from 11.5 hours to just over 1 hour but using CPU and GPU it only came down to abotu 55 mins. Still amazing compared to my old computer but I though this card would be substantially faster then CPU alone.

Sometimes Windows update messes up the drivers and the CUDA devices dissapear from the OS. Usually restart and/or driver reinstall fixes the error (most often restart is enough).
