Titan Xp vs 1080 Ti

I'm speccing out a new rig that will primarily be used for hybrid rendering in Vray. Given that the prices on GTX 1080 ti cards have been driven up by the crytomining craze, would it make more sense to spend that kind of money on a Titan Xp instead? Are there any downsides to the Titan vs the 1080 ti?

Prices are normalizing in the recent few days.
Titan Xp don't have any downsides compared to the 1080ti that I know of (beside being more expensive, of course).

Oh wow, you are right...prices on the 1080 ti have dropped a LOT in the last few days. Let's hope they hold for a little while.
