Hi gang;
The computer store has finished piecing together my Threadripper 1950X Ryzen machine with GTX 1080 Ti's.
Despite my request for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, which I own several licenses to, and very much prefer, they installed Windows 10.
They told me Windows 7 just doesn't support this new hardware.
I wanted to check with those here that have similar systems. I would very much prefer to continue using Windows 7 because I love it and because I also use legacy software such as Adobe Creative Suite CS6 which I also own perpetual licenses to. Windows 10 may not support this and would therefore require additional costs in an Adobe CC subscription (which I am very much against). I am using 3ds Max 2016 and VRay 3.6 although these are most likely supported by both OS's.
Is what the computer store saying true? That Windows 7 does not support Ryzen machines and if it does, it will be unstable? Do others here have similar setups?
Please let me know and preferably soon as the workstation is ready.
Thanks in advance,
-Rich
