Role Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Primetals Technologies are increasingly utilising visualisation media to support customer facing sales and marketing activities and to aid effective technical product development and engineering design.

This exciting role holder will be responsible for production of all visualisation media including VR simulations, animations, images and video.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / TASKS

• Coordinate with key personal in the business to define requirements, manage expectations and deliver quality visual media to agreed timescales.

• Manage standard working processes, align brand and global guidelines for consistent appearance of digital and printed media.

• Aid adoption of the latest industry innovations, both software and hardware ensuring we are able to best demonstrate our products and services

• Coordinate with key stakeholders in the business in order to manage delivery of multiple forms of visualisation media, such as renders, animations, videos, VR/AR and technical documentation.

• Define processes for the reuse of Engineering data (such as 3D), in order to optimise the production of visual media. Produce best practice guidelines.

• Support sales and marketing activities as necessary. E.g. displays for trade shows or aid production of presentations for customer sales visits.

COMPETENCIES

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within the organisations and effectively manage
• Proficient in 3DS Max & Vray including material and lighting effects
• Proficient in video editing software (Windows)
• Effective communicator comfortable with discussing engineering concepts
• Able to work autonomously or part of a project team
• Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• A creative approach to problem-solving. An ability to weigh up alternative courses of action and make firm decisions.

Desirable

• Proficient in Keyshot
• Able to use 3D CAD, such as Solid Edge or Inventor
• Ability to read and understand 2D CAD drawings
• Able to use adobe creative suite or similar
• Experience using game engines such as Unreal Engine 4

EDUCATIONAL / PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum A-Levels, degree desirable but credit will be given to those with an exceptional portfolio of relevant work.
• 3 Years + in Architectural/Industrial visualisation
• Produced a variety of visual media and able to demonstrate this e.g. a portfolio
• Previous experience of working within an industrial focused organisation
• Experience of working within a large, global organisation

Additional Requirements / Comments:

Driving License required
Travel required between UK and international sites.
