Hatch Studios is seeking a full-time 3D Lighting & Rendering Artist

Hatch Studios Ltd, a full-feature computer graphics, animation, motion graphics and design studio, is looking for a full-time 3D lighting and rendering artist. The applicant should have a minimum of 3 years production experience in texturing, shading, lighting and rendering stylized and photorealistic environments, products, vehicles and characters. In addition, the applicant should have moderate compositing experience. A strong understanding of film & photographic lighting techniques, live-action CGI integration, HDRI & global illumination rendering, color-matching & correction, mood and atmosphere is required. Our pipeline is 3dsmax & VRay so experience with these tools is required. The applicant should be familiar with scene wrangling, layer rendering, renderfarm management, etc.

As with any small studio, basic generalist skills are also required including modeling, animation, etc.

This position is for fulltime, in-studio work in Toronto, Canada. If you cannot legally work in-studio, please do not apply for this position.

Hi Richard! I admire your work and would like to collaborate with you one day.

I have my own studio and render farm in Saint-Sauveur, Quebec, Canada. So I am not available for in-studio work sadly. But I work on high profile commercials remotely (mostly with Montreal) since 6 years and it goes very well.
