It is a fabulous place to live. But, it would seem, devoid of suitable 3d artists who would like to work in a small, quality driven 3d studio. Where they are compensated well and have flexible hours. And learn something new every day. And the projects are varied and exciting with reasonable deadlines. Where they can flourish. And go to the bar downstairs afterwards for craft beers and talk about cycling and carpentry. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to keep on keeping on.
I cant believe I have not had one single applicant from this listing.

Buy my house, pay for my move and count me in

I was just back home last week, on vacation, and my wife is ready to go back home.

The last time we put up a listing for our miami studio (paid on every site known to man), we got around 40 from overseas with no visa, 5 or so who wanted to partner up and take some of our work off our hands, a couple architecture students who thought we were an arch practice looking for an internship and one serious applicant.
Meanwhile our London studio gets non stop great applicants, the worst of which wipe the floor with the best we got.
it seems like hardly anyone does this in america :/

Thats the exact response I got from a paid ad on cgarchitect. So I thought I'd try here. Its H1B season, so Im talking to a lawyer about the best way to bring in overseas talent. I myself arrived on an H1B so I know its doable. The Brits are a head of the US curve. So are the Spanish.

I'm from Belgium and I had no issues working in OZ for over 3 years with a business visa that my office asked.
Don't know how the visas in the US works but like you said, I guess it's definitely feasible to bring in talents.

For now, I'm back in BE and still work for OZ remotely, works like a charm and even better as we carry the jobs 24h a day
