Topaz Gigapixel - doesn't seem to handle anything other than jpg ??

Is anyone else having this same problem ?

I trialled the software, was very happy with the results, but since then when I try to resize anything other then a jpg, i.e. a PNG or a TIFF, the software crashes.

My image file sizes are nothing to be concerned about, eg 1600, 2000 longest edge.

I've tried contacting Topaz, and they seem pretty useless (no reply to an email of over 3 weeks ago about this and still no confirmation email so I can join their forums.......).

I have the paid version and it opens almost any extension

Mine opens the png and tiff files, it just doesn't resize and save them. It bombs out on the save part....

I just did a 4K PNG to 8K without a problem. It might be a demo limitation.

Oh, I miss understood. I do hate software vendors who don't respond to support emails. One post on their Facebook Page (if they have one) should get their attention.

The trial worked fine for me with tiff's, only issue I have is it doesn't seem to be able to ignore the alpha. So a beauty pass with alpha saved in the file will make it screw up the sky as it sees it as transparent. Anybody else had this? (I did a search on their forum but couldn't find any posts about it).

I tried to see if I could use it on my slave machine (which is identical only it has a lot less software on it) - I use Chrome Remote Desktop to see that computer's screen, but all Gigapixel gave me on that one was a white dialog box.......

I feel like purchasing software is like paying to be a Beta tester sometimes.....

Right.....I'm getting close......

For some strange reason, png files I save from Photoshop CS6 cause Gigapixel to crash.

If I try resizing a png that I've taken from off the internet, it works....... (but if I resave that PNG as a new PNG using my PS CS6, it crashes.....)

Crazy !

**** UPDATE ***** It's DEFINITELY to do with Photoshop CS6 and the way it saves my PNG files - I just tried saving a file as a PNG within Affinity Photo and Gigapixel handled that perfectly well.
