  • Forest Pack Pro Scale

I have a scene that started off in CM and I converted to inches. I reset things (xform), but my Forest grass and gravel will not scale. I exported as a dwg and imported, but nothing seems to be working. HELP!

Pick the objects again after you've collapsed the xforms or maybe use the global scale to convert between cm and inch? It's a factor of about 2.54 I think?

I tried the world scale, but it scaled the actual geometry.

You can just use global scale of the objects in the FP. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/...312_094613.png
        Available for remote work.

You never change scene scale. Instead, make a new scene with the units you need, then merge the objects from the other scene into it. Things will magically be correct. This works for most things, except BIPED, Particles, Hair & Fur, and things that use real world physics like cloth sim fror example.

Yes, but things don't fill out properly doing that.

I tried that. Something strange is going on.

It is a freaking mess! I scale the scene and my windows go out in space. This has messed me up before and it takes rebuilding things, but this scene is complicated.

There has to be a solution to this. It seems only Forest is having issues. I have scaled in every way I know how to. Forest is reading the grass as millimeters and the gravel in centimeters, but MAX is showing it 100% scale. Any ideas? I have posted this over on the Forest forum, too.

I'd persevere with merging into a new scene to change the units.

To me this seems to look correct.

Did you do anything to it to make it work?

That usually works, but not in this case. I have a few ideas to try today.

He opened it in Germany, where they have metric units. ^^

In Germany we have the best of all metric units
No, I just opened it, used your inches scaling and reset all the scale values of the Forest Pack objects (global scale etc. to 100%). I could upload the scene, but it should work that way on your end as well.
