Something is wrong there. $500 for insurance of 2 cars a month it's more than 3 times what it should be. I pay $70 per car a month and I had few speeding tickets(no accidents)....and I always have paid that (70-80) in Minnesota.
Go to your broker and smash his face.....maybe you are including your house as well but still is high.

Nope, my house is on my mortgage payment. Three-year-old Lexus and four-year-old Highlander, so obviously full coverage on both. I believe I have a $1000 deductible, but I'll have to check into that.

you are overpaying .... 250 deductible and I have a Jaguar and a Volvo, I never ever paid that even when they were brand new and my Volvo is 3 years old

I just renewd my max maintenaince for about 1000€ (vat included). but i received an email from ADSK telling me that since next year will increase +20%....
I'm paying more than a subscription but like this i can permanently use my licence (when i'll decide to stop to be an adsk junkie).

Anyway I stopped my autocad maitenance and switched to Bricscad and i'm pretty happy....

I believe the 20% increase happens later this month, so it sounds like you got in just before that. Apparently, after that 20% increase, there will be no increase the year after (quote from AD themselves). What happens after then is anyone's guess

everything Adobe has cost me $29 a month

Bobby, can you say what "Adobe Plan" you have that paying $29/month for everything adobe? My current "Adobe Plan" is Creative Cloud All Apps" and that cost $52.99/month. (I really only use Photoshop, Dreamweaver (old cs6 version) and Acrobat Pro.)

I'm paying maintenance, it's around 1200 per year for Autocad, Revit, 3ds max and a couple more app, cloud storage, rendering and support that I never use them.

That's ridiculously cheap for all that software (in comparison to what I would have to pay), what country are you in? I was looking into the "architecture engineering and construction collection" and it's 3720€ in Belgium that's 4050$.That almost 50% more expensive in comparison to the price in the US. I have no idea what they're trying to pull. I was wondering if I used a VPN to purchase if that would work.

Copied from my post in the thread about Max Indie;

My 3DS Max subscription comes up for renewal soon. I believe i am on year 2 of a 3 year "special price lock" that I got when I (without a clear understanding) switched from maintenance to subscription. I will be paying $655 for the next year subscription and presumably one more year after that.

The Indie for $250/year sounds so good but...... that will cancel my 2 year price lock. My re-seller, who I did not choose, knows nothing about this and had never heard of Indie until I called them this morning to ask for more info.

Does anyone have any more updated info about Indie, is it a trap? Has anyone abandoned subscription in favor of Indie? I'm unfortunately skeptical and suspicious of Adesk and their schemes.

I am leaning toward rolling the dice and switching to Indie.
