  • 3dsMax UI incredibly slow

This affected both 2016 and now 2019, and I don't discount other things i've done to my computer (I do programming stuff as well). Does anyone know what might be going on here, or how I might diagnose it?

I had to disable Microsofts's shadow copy. I don't know if it's the same thing, but it took me a long time to track down the issue.

Thanks Bobby, this got me all excited but it seems it's already disabled - damn!

How old is your Max installation?

I installed 3dsMax 2019 probably 4 months ago, however I believe I found the issue. At some point I accidentally installed the VRay License Service on my local machine, and it was hammering the event log with WIBU errors whenever VRay was querying it (i'm guessing). I uninstalled that and it's better, but not perfect.
