  • Growing tree Animation?

Hi, I might have to animate a growing tree.
I'm searching for plugins and tutorials that could help.
For now the only things I found was Speedtree and GrowFx. But there are only old videos of growing plants online. And most of them aren't looking very good.
Has anyone ever done something like that?

I think GrowFX is the standard.

speedtree and growFX are likely going to be the best out of the box solutions for quickly animating growing trees. If you want something else, you'll probably have to fire up Houdini, rig/script it by hand, or find a plugin that already does exactly what you need.

Generally you can't really trust those videos for how good the results are, not just because they're old, but because the really good looking stuff is usually being done behind the scenes, and isn't always ending up on Youtube.
