  • Raytrace message!

Hi, anyone worked out a way to stop the Raytrace message, waiting for trace request popup, but without having to change your renderer to scanline? It then resets the Vray settings when changed back.

Must be a maxscript line that will do it. Recently started having it pop up in most scenes randomly. And obviously nothing but Vray mats in the scene!!

    Thanks

Same problem here...I was testing the Sunpositioner so I could link my vraySun to it, but lol no idea what AD is thinking but I can't align anything to the sun 'object'. So deleted it and went back to daylight system. Now I can't get rid of the Raytrace message.

Haha thanks Bobby, for some reason I keep forgetting this setting is hidden under scanline (probably like the 5th time I had to google this). I guess the logic of it just keeps me from remembering.

It must be accessable through a script though? Most things are!

You could turn it off under scanline, in a blank scene, then switch back to V-Ray and save as Maxstart.max in your scenes folder.
