    This script as been getting flaky over the years. I have 1.2, but I see 1.8 on the web, with dead links. Does anyone have this working in MAX 2020? There really should be something like this built into MAX.

    There should be one indeed. You can find the script on github, it's open source. Maybe it still works in 2020, because it relies on a legacy version of normalize spline. https://github.com/mxdsa/populateTer...rain%201.87.ms

      Yeah, works good in 2020. Such a useful bit of script. Using it to model terrain from lidar data all the time.

        It'll probably be a new feature in a future MAX release to justify the subscription, only poorly implemented .
