  • Fork in the road

Well after 15 years my time at work has drawn to a close.
Probably not the best time to be looking for a new job, so while I am on the look out I am putting it out there that I anyone needs a hand or knows of anything going to keep me in mind.

5 years ago, after 15 years of employment, I was let go and walked out of the building right then, which is how it is done nowadays. On the drive home I got a call from a UK visualization company wanting me to do a project for them. Really, out of the blue on my way home from being laid off. The phone hasn't stopped ringing since. I call that a God thing!

1998..... I was depressed and mentally unable to carry on in the jobs I was doing - all in catering, as a waiter. I was down to my last few quid and had just been sacked by my friend for drinking the bar dry and not opening his restaurant
Literally 3 days later I got a call from someone who had seen my website, which had a few early 3D jobs on it, and he offered me a job, without any interview, based on what he saw.
I packed up and left within the week and walked into a 40k a year 3D job

Good shit happens all the time and I wish you much luck in your adventure

I have been incredibly lucky and blessed my whole career. I have been given a few big breaks over the years and have always tried my best to pay that back.

I am in the process of updating my portfolio, its quite cathardic to look back at all the work I have done, some of it I cringe at and others I'm rather proud of.
