  • adjust scale based on camera distance

im doing some shots of a constellation of satellites for a big client.

they have previously signed off all our cameras.

now they have asked that there be a larger difference in scale between the foreground satellites and those in the background.

the obvious thing would be to play with the lens.. but it would be problematic to revisit the cameras at this stage.

so i have to find a nice, controllable way of scaling 50+ satellite models based on distance from camera, in 10 different shots.

needless to say, id rather not do it manually.

    any suggestions?

    thanks!

almost 2 years ago someone asked the exact question so I did this PFlow setup to handle it

And here is the link for the file :

You will need to know your way around to get the already scattered satellites into pflow, but I don't think that's would be hard to do .
I've moved to tyflow the day one it was released and never looked back so I think creating this in tyflow with some scripting would be good idea . I will give it a try this evening
    .
