On Screen Notes

I vaguely remember a feature added to 3ds that allowed you to make onscreen notes with handles connecting them to objects - there is something similar in Maya - maybe it was a Maya demo - where I saw the demo ?

Anybody know about this feature - am I going mad ?

only one i know of..

and i know of someone who did a 'pop' up notes type thing for when a max file opens, but not a clue as to what it be.

you can add popping up notes to files without plugins via file properties if i recall right.
