3ds max command - face loop select

what's the command for selecting a loop of faces on polygon in 3ds max 2021? I thought it was Shift + Select, or Shift + Select double click, but it's just enabling a paint select mode with cursor instead of selecting the loop... Thanks in advance, all i can find on the net are loads of meaningless youtube videos -T

It is Ctrl and double click on adjacent poly

I have another poly edit related question.... What happened to shift drag to copy polygon/element on sub object level?

.... and who is this evil person at autodesk changing default commands?

edit: i may have had my previous commands set to maya, that could be what's throwing me off

Hehe yeah I'm still assimilating that sub command...it's now ctrl shift drag.

Seriously? Glad I didn't switch to 2021 yet, would've given me another reason to be pissed at Autodesk. They could've implemented better selection ways without tampering with the old shortcuts for f* sake.

I wish 3ds max and sketchup would have a baby. It would be the most celebrated dcc app ever created for archviz. Millions of people would travel far and wide by foot and camel to celebrate its birth, bringing with them offerings of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Entire empires would be built and religious movements etched into human history.... entire cities would shut down to host the parades of people celebrating in the streets. The stock price of Kleenex would shoot through the roof as hoards of people wept with joy...
