Recently I've bought a 4K 27 inch as an addition to my 2 x 27 inch (1440p) setup. Too many windows for only 2 monitors and I must say it's quite the improvement with one of the monitors in portrait mode. Although mixing 4K and 1440p screens is a big pain in the ass due to the scaling (I knew this beforehand). It's something I've mostly solved with the help of some settings, 'hacks' and a tool called LittleBigMouse.
The only problem arising right now is that for some reason Windows doesn't always remember the position of my application 'windows' and sometimes just randomly changes them.
What software do you guys use to manage the positions of your windows so they always open/stay where intended?
I remember using Ultramon back in the day that Windows couldn't really manage multiple monitors well (but now with 3 monitors and different resolutions, Windows is starting to freak out again). But I'm not sure there isn't a better one on the market right now that also handles the difficulty of different resolutions and scaling in one application.
Thanks for your input!
