7.5 Bugs - Fixes found

I have just come across the bugs in 7.5 - changing randomly to Faces mode - has anybody experienced the same thing and if so have they come across a fix. I noticed it only about 2 hours ago and it is driving me around the bend - I mean I am literally going crazy.
I have also noticed another problem that I think had something to do with Cebas extension - Smooth objects become facetted for no reason. I'm talking about a standard sphere that might look and render like the smooth option has been turned off - even if it is still turned on. Should I reinstall 7.1 ?

Cebas issue

I am replying to my own post so that if anybody has the same issue they can search and find the solution I did - well it seems to be the solution anyway. The problem has two faces, facetted surfaces of smoothed objects and mystical changing UV co-ordinates. The problems where caused an old cebas.dlu which was lurking on my machine. I downloaded at patch

and now things seem to be working fine - Thank God as I was starting to loose it

I hope this helps somebody who might be unspectingly heading down the road less facetted. And if this isn't the solution it was worth a shot anyway.
