    hm, i believe the client is evaluating having it shot by a photographer actually, but liked the flexibility of a model.. i dont imagine the astronomers will "pose" the dish aesthetically on request. they were also considering some dramatic floodlighting, realistic or otherwise.

        ha. i actually did contact him, and he offered a reasonable price... after much negotiation and many emails, i then found out from client that they wanted something "as similar as possible to the lovell telescope, but it cant actually BE the lovell telescope.."

        clients eh? in the end i bought something a bit more generic from turbosquid and with a bit of tlc they seem happy...

          Modelling of separate parts + Railclone. Railclone will definitely help here, quite a lot.
