I've never been good at finding new clients - I simply don't have a technique other than those who get in touch with me via my website.
I'm not a marketing type, so I guess now's the time to learn and become one.....
I have a website that's in a pretty good position in Google, and I get *some* work from that, but I've never had to go/get new clients...... until now.
Any ideas/suggestions please on how I can find/get new clients ?
Even if it's to "go read this book", or "go do this course".....
Do I pick up the phone and just call people? (I'm guessing that it's best to speak than email because I personally don't like receiving emails looking for work......).
And if it's about picking up the phone and calling, who do I ask for?
How about networking?
I live in a rural area, so am not interested in going into working at a client's office (the commute alone would tire me out, I know, I've tried that before....).
Any ideas please?
Many thanks
(working alone from home, I can do with all the bouncing off ideas as I can get ).
Thanks again.
