  • 3dsMAX 7 Animation Question

    Hi,
I am working on an animation and have my camera moving at a constant speed along a path. My camera is in a aerial view over a hospital and then as the camera fly's around the building, it lowers and comes close to the building....more from a car point of view.

The speed of the animation is perfect until it gets to the car level and then it moves way too fast and I need to just slow down the last 20% of the animation.

Does anyone know how to do this in Max 7? I have tried the help index within the Max program and found very little.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to make a smooth transition from the faster animation to the slower last part.

In the curve editor find the path percentage track, change the key types to bezier, then you can add a key where you want it and use the bezier handles to smooth it out. You'll also need to lengthen the overall animation by moving the the last key (the 100% one).

Actually, if you want to do any keyframing with the path constraint you must turn on the constant velocity checkbox. Otherwise the motion is governed by the amount and vertex spacing along the spline path.

      Hope this helps.
