  • Digital Asset Management...?

Were currently looking for recommendations for Digital Asset Management solutions to catalog and share/distribute digital videos, images, branding files within our company and to some external vendors. Since there is a very diverse amount of users on here I thought I would reach out to see what other companies are using.

Thank you very much in advance,
    -dave
    Cheers,

Good question, I use Lightroom for my images wrt DAM, but I find it clunky and slow. Be interested in what others use too

Yes For a single user, light-room can be an ok solution. But for larger companies it can be a real struggle and for multiple users working on the same videos, photos, graphic designs... I don't think Light-room is usable at all. We found a couple different ones and are currently looking at Adobe's solution but mgmt are not keen on the $100k/yr+ for that one lol. Were also considering FileCamp and Daminion as well but still looking to see what there are for other D.A.M. solutions that our internal team of Video, vfx, animation, graphic design people can use to catalog and collaborate with and as well as control media that the business units use.
      Cheers,

I agree, I've used LR for years, but nowadays I dread opening it whenever I need to (a lot of 'not responding' often when I do). As you say, it's 'ok' for a single user, okay when it works and fits in with a reasonable selection of images you're working on, but I don't go around recommending it (though it is pretty cheap). I'll take a look at the ones you mention
