The other day I had a hard drive failure. It was just a storage drive so just bad luck and I can lose everything no problem.
Since then my pc is having issues that I can't solve. I'm awaiting new drives to backup but meanwhile I have a massive issue with Max 23.
Suddenly when try to run it it was slow to load, stalling at the OSL.dll stage for longer than expected, then semi-loading the interface but then hanging completely.
I tried again and it flashed the error that there was a problem and the prompt to restore to factory settings. I did so but it failed to fix it.
So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. The install took an absolute age and didn't appear to want to complete after 97%, though it prompted me to start it meanwhile.
I did so and it immediately flashed the same error with the prompt to restore to factory.
I went to uninstall it again but now it is not in the program list and the right click uninstall does nothing.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I can do at this rather worrying stage?
Of coure I am mid-project, so this is such impossibly bad timing I am between laughing and crying
