Are you guys still doing chromatic aberration? How are you doing it? I stopped years ago, but I might want to try it again, but I want it easy. All the PS actions I have tried way over do it. I had this, but they are not developing it anymore and all their links are dead. http://arionfx.com/arionfx-for-photoshop

I found this, but it causes havoc in my images - https://graphicriver.net/item/3d-ren...tions/18588252

Load a map in your physical camera and you will get CA in your renders, this way it will work properly with DOF too.

Just load an aperture map in the physical camera.
Here is an example with and without the map:

I am using MAX, so I'll have to see if that is supported. I don't think it is.... Thank you!

Yes, I use this a lot in Max. It’s in the VrayPhysicalCamera settings. Bokeh Effects->BitMap Aperture.

Note there is a bug where Depth of Field is turned off if you enable the BitmapAperture checkbox but do not load a map into the settings.

Any resource for the map to use?

You can easily build it by your self in PS by layering R G B with a slight offset in additive mode, you can give any shape you want.

Make sure you have DOF turned on. You really only see it in the out of focus areas. It is not a full CA solution, but it is better than nothing. It does render a hint slower, though.

I'm working a lot for removing chromatic aberration of the pictures I take out in the nature.

Anyway, is there a recommendation for the resolution for the source picture? Does it have to match the rendering resolution?

No, even a 512pixel bitmap will do the job

Bobby, did you get it to work?
Here is a tutorial about how to do it, as well as aperture maps you can use:
                            https://youtu.be/1xz-ERMA12I
Chromatic aberration will only show up in your DOF though and not the focused parts of your rendering. I think the easiest way to create CA is Photoshops Lens Correction tool, but it is the same in all places in your image, not like a real cameras CA where it mostly is seen closer to the edges of the phot.
