  • c4d animated scenes to max

as title.. i dont need textures or materials (im doing that part) however i do need to edit the animated parts of the scene (cameras/vehicles) ... these are basic keyframed moves with ease curves, and some animation along paths.

fbx works to transfer the scenes, but it appears to bake all animation to a keyframe every frame, irrespective of the settings chosen in the exporter. this makes editing the motion in max "problematic" to say the least.

any tips? google has been less than helpful, and the c4d guy im working with who is prepping the scenes doesnt have much experience.

Could be tricky....might get lucky with this; although haven't tried it the video suggests the possibility https://www.3dtoall.com/products/c4d...ort%20possible.

If that doesn't work, 'maybe' it'd be possible to extract some useable splines from key item/s trajectories to repurpose.

Polytrans has Cinema4D support. I haven't used the import option, but I have exported some of my 3DSMax scenes to C4D-format by using Polytrans and didn't hear any complaints about the model quality.
