Could be interesting. Would it work with Vray I wonder?

ive wondered that myself. frankly it kinda sucks at the moment. We basically use vue at the moment for vegetation creation and then export. Might be nice to be able to actually use vue more then that.

      Hi !
I do use Vue INfinite and Vue fusion in Max 7 is just in Beta testing.
It will be used first of all with the standard render engine in Max, Mental Ray...
For other render engines, there will be a long time to wait, I think, since
the standard version is quite not ready and stable...
More over, there may be a priority for the plugin, Brazil, Vray, or Final Render ? Which one will they prepare first ?
I've spoken about Vray but I've read some other people had Brazil...

At the moment, I use Vue Infinite to render the landscape and next I
render Objects in Max over the landscape image and works great.

      here is the image link:

It will be easier to use when fusion will be ready.

and click on "nature and Landscape" then look at "Lac" image.

          Hello Gaël,
Your image is great. I can't imagine doing that in Max which is why I'm interested in Vue. Thanks for your info about different renderers, I thought that maybe the case. I wonder if you could prepare a mask with the scanline renderer and fusion to speed up the montage proccess for stills...

            HI gafl

What is the max to vue scene synchronization like when merging cameras and lights between the packages for comping purposes?

right now it stinks. I have trouble just getting a max camera into view. it comes in all screwed up. everything is scaled wrong etc.

I'm very very sorry, I'm not able to use the synchronization plugin...
I think It's a pure fiction...and this is why they create Vue Fusion.

In fact, it seems to work only with meshes but I wasn't able to get a max light and camera in Vue Infinite. However, you can get anything from
                Vue by a 3ds export.
This is the method I used, then I had to manage the camera angle in Vue to get it in Max after.

Moreover, the Vue forum is not Vray forum. You don't have a lot of help...
There isn't Vlado over there to explain us some subtilities...
I hope it will be better on Cornucopia...

                    Hi Percy !
Yes I know that commun problem of the plugin...
But, you know, you are lucky you've got a camera...I have not...
Nothing ! zero, rien, nada !

But I use Max6 and maybe people who have max7 may export their camera better!!!???

Yes, I've read it in another thread that you used Max6 too.
Well, The Vue Plugin is quite strange indeed...
