Remember what I said about user time? You wasting lot of your user time over the years will be way more expensive then this chip that will cut your user time by a factor of 5.

I agree.., and a $6000 chip isn't bad if you think about it. People in our business drop 5-6 grand on a PC every few years. I'll have to see if my motherboard can support such a chip. It won't be soon, since I just purchased this PC for $2000, and $1800 for the 4090; maybe in a few months.

The whole system is about $15000, but trust me such system enabled me to work 4 hours instead of 8 of the work day for last 3 years isn't that worth something?

Since COVID and the world went crazy, oh, and I moved to stupidly expensive California, money does not come that easy anymore. With interest rate hikes, five in a year, it is crazy expensive to live. I’ll wait for the world market to crash and pick up a dozen of those $15000 computers for a few thousand . People have been playing games lately, too. Get the deposit, and people run the course, pulling the plug on a project when it is 99% done, never seeing them again. I don’t release images until they are paid for, so I think they are printing screen and using the images that way. Three projects this year went this way, all from larger architectural firms. With AI up-scaling, and watermark removal, they are scamming, thinking they are being business savvy. Unless they owe you $15,000 or more, a lawyer won't even talk to you. Plus, the lawyer I talked to said nobody cares about an out-of-state judgement, anyway. I can spend the time and money is small claims, but again, they don't care. I'll be awarded the judgment, and won't see a dime being out of pocket for the cost to sue. They know the game and play it well. The only thing a judgement will do is make their dirty deeds public record.

It's not great in visual effects right now either. Strike, nothing is being shot. Lots of places laying off people. It's going to take 6mo-year to recover if not longer.
