I'm trying to create a simple tyFlow particle simulation. I have spent almost a year making this, but I just can't get this working. I wonder if somebody could take a look on this. I wonder what I'm doing wrong here, but this one explodes. What information You would need from my side? Sending any geometry is out of the question.

This is linked to my Fluid in a cyclone animation (discussed under Phoenix thread) - being the particle part.

You have a better chance asking this in the dedicated tyflow group on facebook, they are very helpful there.

      Thanks,

Unfortunately I don't have a Facebook account. I've tried at their forum, but it's very quiet there. I thought here would be people with better knowledge compared to mine.

I hear ya, these types of groups are the only reason I still have a FB account. I suggest making a dummy account (fake name etc). It really is the best way to get tyflow help, fast. There probably is someone here that could help you but it might take some time to get a response.

          Thanks,

So called tyFlow forum is dead. Their support - I don't want to share my thoughts about it. There's huge difference between Chaos and them what comes to support.

I wonder why Chaos hasn't made a particle system of it's own. I'm sure, it would be a huge success.

Well Chaos is a big company. Tyflow is created and maintained by only one person Tyson Ibele. Who is quite helpful, but I can only speak from experience over on the FB group.

              Thanks,

I really don't know how to continue. I have paid my subscription and by doing so, I thought I would get some support in return. Would it be different, if I were one of the guys. Maybe it's the benefits of being nobody. I'm afraid being in Facebook wouldn't change that; I would still be nobody - sand in their shoes.

Well you have a lot of options, you just need to pick one. Part of using software these days is also being active and up to date on a wide range of media. The oldschool way is fora, like Chaos has, but not all software companies are active on their own fora. Take Autodesk for instance, you will hardly come in contact with an engineer there. Chaos is somewhat different in that matter, which is nice, but not feasible for everyone. Or they like to put up a wall between the engineers and the customers, which sometimes is understandable.

The facebook group is here: tyFlow Group | Facebook I asked a question there without having a license, concerning if I can only load part of the plugin (some of the modifiers like tySelect) and not the whole suite, which I don't use and Tyson answered me himself. So I'd say no point in holding yourself back on asking help.

You can also use the discord, I haven't used it yet because I don't use tyFlow but can't hurt to try. https://discord.com/invite/Mp8mxgw

                  Thanks,

I started a topic at dedicated tyFlow forum on January the 3rd this year after working alone for months with this project. I only got few answers, which aren't helping. I'm wondering if here's someone who understand this better and could see, what I'm doing wrong here. Only thing I know, my setup on opening post is a disaster, but I don't know what to do differently.

Well it would help if you could describe/show what you're trying to achieve. You're saying that sending geometry is out of the question, so I guess that you have some NDA or are a bit worried about that geometry, in that case you can always replace the geometry with something simple that can be seen and/or send.

                      Thanks,

To my surprise, I was granted permission to send my simulation geometry to tyFlow support. I made it downloadable for them, but it hasn't been downloaded.

Anyway, what I'm doing. I have dirty fluid where the purification process need to be purified. The fluid has been made with Phoenix FD and it's now working somewhat correctly. The problem is, that tyFlow ignores all other forces (including gravity) than Fluid force. So the particles are not moving when the liquid isn't. Like situation where you cast a stone into water. In real world it would sink all the way to the seabed. In tyFlow world it floats.

Why I can't have both forces on same time? On the screenshot, I tried to divide the flow in two phases: first it respects Fluid Force and then the gravity force. Adding the object test to tyFlow explodes whole flow and I wonder why. Two questions:
                      1. Is it possible to have gravity with Fluid Force?
                      2. If not, why does the first event explode if I try to send particles to another event for applying gravity?

They still haven't look at my scene.

Anyway, I have a new problem; the particles are not piling up. I wonder what I've done wrong this time?

I'm really surprised to read such comments about tyFlow support .Tyson is really active and usually solve any issue/bug really quickly and his answers often explain pretty well not only how to fix things but why it is happening in the first place.
Do you have a link for your forum thread? I would like to take a look .
I will recommend sending an email to Tyson if you don't like to use Facebook ,but on the group there are many talented artists who are helping and answering questions daily and if you are interested in using tyFlow it is the best place to be in imo.
As for your last question, you will need to use PhysX shape to get piling up effect , but be carful as that could make the simulation heavy quickly .

Simply, I love to put pixels together! Sounds easy right : ))

                            Thanks for Your comments,

Actually I added Particle Physics operator just by following my intuition to get the piling up and it seems to work. Now I'm iterating the parameters to test settings to get correct amount of particles at the junk trap, before they are flushed away. I wonder if the default stiffness value is causing unwanted wobbling to my particle pile.
