Laser-beam simulaton made in Brazil. How in VRay ?
damn it... i cant get it around the last 2 mirrors, it stops on the third last.
Scaling on the Z axis makes no difference, other than lowering the quality of the beam due wasting lots of caustic subdivs. And lowering or raisin ght target points makes a difference but i just cant get past the 3rd last mirror... bloody weird.
I have a nice strong beam, and it hits that mirror and dies.
But see RErender's last example. he gets them going all the way around...sure they are getting pretty thing by then but still.
My beam is much more solid than his all the way up to the last mirror then just kaput, so i dont think its a photon problem. Well not in my case anyway.
Weird upon opening the file. The lights were pointing to the left and not usefull to create the laserbeams...weird...just moved them back and all is fine.
I noticed you re-created then lenses. Could you not get the original ones to work?
So im sitting here right... thinking why the feck does it just stop on that fourth mirror. the beam is nice and strong... plenty of light... i have tried all different light positions.....
And then it happened... i swear i heard a penny drop.
4 mirrors equals how many bounces? 5... well guess who didnt change the depth of the mirror material!!! FFS i had it almost perfect from the very beginning. HAHAHAHA
Ahh well its been a long 11 hour work day and im zonked.
So i changed the depth to 10 and it render perfectly.
I love it how when the 3 beams converge the beam goes white... pretty cool.
