New 3d model providers

I am seeing a lot of new 3d model providers the last months like, Great Catalog, 3D-Baza, Solidrocks.net and more. Does anybody have any experience with these? Legal, trustworthy, safe? I am getting most stuff from DesignConnected, CGTrader and 3DSky but am always open for something new.

Design Connected and 3D Sky are my go-to. There's also CG Mood which has excellent models too.

Also don't forget the Chaos Cosmos Library has a shed load of models now in there too.

The collections you mention indeed are the "safe bets" I have been using since decades too. I am just hoping someone knows about the newer providers.

I would not trust this solidrocks, I've seen most of these models elsewhere and I doubt that they are from the original creators. Whois says it's from Nassau, Bahamas (says enough I guess), registered in 2020

Great catalog I can't even access here due to our firewall signaling it's porn xD It's icelandic or at least according to the whois, registered in 2018

3D-baza is painfully slow, but apparently online since at least 2019, at least according to their own website. It feels fishy none the less, no idea why but my spidey sense is tingeling. Whois says it's Ukrainian, registered in 2023.

I once purchased a library from Facebook, and it was thousands of models, all from other sources scrapped from the internet. They took Evermotion models from those Chinese pirated sites and tried to sell them. I know because most of them had text files showing the URL from which they were downloaded. It looked to be someone's library of a decade of illegal downloads. PayPal returned the money. It is the wild west out there.
