Webhosting Recommendations

I belong to www.totalchoicehosting.com and my server has been going offline on a regular basis now. A year ago I would have recommended them but now I need to find a new webhost cause their server sucks. Does anyone have any recommendations at a reasonable price? Right now I pay $9/month on a virtual host.

www.servage.net, awesome deal and great support, I went through 3 hosts before I found these guys.

5 + domains, 25 now i think
and they are clustered unlike my old providers....

Wow that's alot of freakin' space. 'Level 3' - seen some which are 'Level 1' whatever that means. And their uptime is what they state it to be? Off-hand - does Servage use Awstats or Webalizer or is it totally custom?

you can do a 'background' check of sorts on hosting at www.netcraft.com will tell you uptimes/last reboot dates for some servers..

for instance, your current one looks like a coloc from the folks at Rackspace

Netcraft is a pretty cool site Dave. Thanks! However, they didn't have all my site's infromation logged as of yet.

Ive also checked out Servage's administration/control panel tool (http://cp.servage.net/). I wasn't too happy with it - their statistics pages is lacking in IP lookup information which is something I rely on to track visitors. I think unfortunately this host is a no-go...

I use personally use Hostway, and recommend it for most of my clients (and no, I'm not part of their referral program so I'm not getting a kickback here). They aren't the cheapest out there, but getting equivalent support to what they provide usually costs substantially more from other providers. I've been very happy with them and have rolled out somewhere between 10-15 different sites on their services.

I've had bad luck in the past, but this company has been great. 24/7 human based support is essential in my book. This all being said, I don't get a ton of traffic...
